World Igbo Business Council ( WIBC ) and AkuruUlo Media ( AM ) has unfolded venues across Igbo states and selected towns across Nigeria wherein about 20 pro-Igboland developmental Summits with various tags are to hold at different dates being decided.
The Publicity Director of the Summits Chief Maduka Okoro who called for massive attendance at the summits disclosed that the one to be hosted at Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital, would focus on Food Security and it’s biting hardship in the country.
Also the Local Organizing Committee ( LOC ) Chairperson Lady Obasi Dunu Josephine described holding of this summit at this time at Abakaliki, a major food producing state as very apt and appropriate noting that arious Colleges and Universities of Agriculture across Igbo land and Nigeria have indicated and indicating interest in it and gearing to attend and participate.
” Abakiliki, the capital of Ebonyi state will witness a deluge of who is who in the Agriculture and food sector to brainstorm on Factors responsible for food scarcity and high cost in Igboland and Nigeria and find a solution that would other ways of agricultural practices agriculture without recourse to the soil and production of food even at urban areas and houses.
The Chief Planner/Organizer of the summits and Chief Executive Officer of the AM and WIBC, Chief Chuks Ibegbu said that the Summits have great potentials to drive and leapfrog rapid development of Igboland and will expectedly have in attendance and participation various notable Igbo leaders engaged nationally and internationally in various activities namely Business, Manufacturing, Advisories, Finance , Academia, Industry, Agriculture, Politics, Culture, Tradition, Religion, Health, Media, Diplomacy, Philanthropy among others.
He named the other summits and where they are being planned to hold saying that while World Igbo Investors and Industrialists Summit is slated for Aba, Abia State, World Igbo Investment, Economic and Industrial Development Summit at Enugu, Enugu State, that on Business and Entrepreneurship Summit and World Igbo Creativity, Innovations and Productivity Summit are to hold at Onitsha and Nnewi, both in Anambra state
Also that Imo State is to host World Igbo Security Summit at Owerri, Asaba Delta State is the venue for World Igbo Cultural, History, Language and Heritage Summit while Rivers State Capital Port Harcourt is designated for World Igbo Diaspora and Unity Summit adding that Aba and Onitsha will additionally host World Igbo Traders and Market Summit and World Igbo Transporters and Artisans summit respectively.
Continuing , he said that more Summits are additionally planned for Awka, Anambra state, Asaba on Igbo Youth And Students Development, Language, Culture and HeritageSecurity, leadership and political Summit are for Umuahia, Abia State, with Akwette, a Coastal town in Abia to host Igbo Coastal and Marine Summit, Nsukka in Enugu State that on Igbo Education and Technology.
Afikpo in Ebonyi State and Agbor in Delta State are to host the Igbo Prayer/Spiritual Summit and Igbo New cities and urban Development Summit respectively while Owerri Imo State was selected for World Igbo Women Development adding that the AkuruUlo summits will be extended to
Lagos, Abuja, Warri, USA New York, Europe, South Africa, London, Dubai and Asia.
Chief Ibegbu, a former Spokesman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo World Wide, added that the summits will feature exhibitions, revelations of how successful gurus started and prospered, investment areas and opportunities, market scopes, business financing, Tourism and hospitality , higher Education, Loan sourcing, community development, foreign partnership, raw material sourcing, busniess advisory etc.
He therefore beckoned on Ndigbo all over the world to support the Summits and play roles that would actualize them and realize the objectives saying however, that details of the summits including the dates, venues etc are to be announced at the appropriate time
